What seemed like a perfect life ended in a chilling scene in Lauffen am Neckar. In September 2023, German lawyer Katarina Jovanovic gave birth in secret inside her apartment and, just minutes later, threw the newborn out the window from a height of nearly 4 meters.
The baby died after the brutal impact, and passersby were the ones who found the body in the street.
During the trial held in July 2024, the prosecution said that the woman feared that becoming a mother would ruin her professional career. She was ultimately sentenced to 7 and a half years in prison for homicide.
