Aaniyah Nowden was found guilty of murder after shooting Justina Wallace, a mother of five with whom she shared an extremely tense situation: both were pregnant by the same man.
According to the prosecution, it all happened after a heated argument sparked by complaints about the relationship and the father’s lack of support toward the daughter Wallace had with him.
The fight escalated quickly and ended in tragedy. At the time of the attack, Justina was holding one of her young children in her arms and was also pregnant with her sixth baby, who also did not survive.
Although the defendant claimed she acted in self-defense, the jury rejected her version and sentenced her to life in prison without the possibility of parole. 😢
