According to People, which broke the news exclusively, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are establishing a private residential base in the United Kingdom for themselves and their two children, 7-year-old Archie and 5-year-old Lilibet. This is not a return to royal life or to the official duties Harry left behind: they will keep their home in Montecito and their property in Portugal, and the prince will not resume official duties.
What is changing is the children’s routine. Archie and Lilibet will start classes at a British school in September, although the family is keeping both the location of the new home and the name of the school an absolute secret. King Charles III was informed of the plan on August 16 and, according to sources, is willing to spend more private time with his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, whom he had only just seen again last month after four years of estrangement.
