Beyoncé took being the “Queen B” much further than many people imagined 🐝.
The singer shared this in an interview with British Vogue, when they asked her about something surprising that people did not know about her. Her answer was quite unexpected: she revealed that she had two real beehives at home, with around 80.000 bees, and that they produced hundreds of jars of honey a year.
But she did not take up beekeeping on a whim. Beyoncé explained that her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, suffered from severe allergies and that she decided to install the hives because she believed honey could help them.
“I know it sounds random, but I have two beehives. Really”, she said with a laugh before explaining the story. Even the interviewer ended up joking that she really lived up to the nickname Queen B.
What seemed like a star’s eccentricity ended up actually being a decision she made with her daughters in mind.
