Raúl Asencio was driving his Porsche in the early hours of the morning through San Bartolomé de Tirajana when he was stopped at a routine checkpoint. He was 23 years old, under contract with Real Madrid until 2031, and had a blood alcohol level of 0,90 mg/l, nearly four times the legal limit in Spain. 🚨
There was no accident or reckless driving, but the figure was enough to turn the offense into a crime. Three days later, he appeared in a fast-track trial and admitted everything without putting up a fight: he agreed to pay around 14.400 dollars and surrender his driver’s license for several months.
