A child in Russia was filmed doing something that feels completely natural to him, but to those who are a few years older, it looks like something out of a science-fiction movie.
The child is holding an old analog photo and doesn’t even think twice. He does exactly what he would do with any screen: spreads his fingers and moves them apart to zoom in, wanting to see the image more closely, but nothing happens. The photo remains the same, flat and made of paper, unresponsive to any touch gesture.
The person who recorded the scene was Misha Gubin, a content creator from Magnitogorsk, who uploaded the video to his account @mishagub1n with a simple caption: he was “reviewing the New Year’s gifts”, but what he captured was something else: a child of the cellphone era encountering, for the first time, an object that doesn’t respond to touch.
In the comments, many people say they have experienced similar situations, such as trying to swipe through a magazine, a photo stuck to a wall, or a poster on the street.
A situation that seemed impossible a few years ago, but is now our reality.
