Twenty years after their wedding, they decided to put on the clothes from that day again and recreate every photo, the same pose, the same place, the same nervous smile from the beginning.
The only difference was that this time, the person standing next to the bride was no longer the man she remembered. Her husband had transitioned and now lived as a woman, with a new name: Shaye Scott. Far from breaking up the relationship, the change became the beginning of a different story, told by the same couple but with a renewed identity.
The original and new images, placed side by side, show something few couples manage to capture: two decades of love that adapted, rather than broke, in the face of a transformation as personal as Shaye’s.
