Cristián Núñez confirmed the death of his husband, Reimundo Tello, around 11 p.m. on Thursday, after he had spent two weeks hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at Ovalle Hospital in Chile.
Weeks earlier, the same facility had been the setting for their emotional wedding. Reimundo, connected to oxygen, said “I do” alongside Cristián in a ceremony that moved the country.
“We are very grateful to Ovalle Hospital for everything it did for us”, Cristián wrote, also thanking people for the affection received: “Thank you very much for all the love you have given us”.
