69 seconds. That was all the time Conor McGregor lasted in the Octagon at UFC 329 before referee Mike Beltran stopped everything due to an injury to his right knee. Max Holloway did not even have to exert himself much.
But far from accepting the result, McGregor went to Instagram and asked for the fight to be declared a “no contest” and for the UFC to refund all bets placed on the bout, one of the most heavily bet fights in Las Vegas history.
Something similar already happened to him at UFC 264, when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier and that result did remain as a loss.
What divides fans the most is something else: several swear that McGregor was already limping and grimacing in pain before entering the Octagon. If the UFC rules in his favor, his record would go from three straight losses to 22-6-1.
