But for Richard Aguilar, meeting him didn’t happen on a red carpet or during an event. This young Paraguayan left his country and settled in Spain seeking new opportunities, without imagining that one of his jobs would eventually bring him face to face with Peter Parker himself.
Richard is from Caaguazú and is a professional photographer, but he currently also works in gardening in Ibiza. It was precisely while carrying out these tasks that he crossed paths with Tobey Maguire for several days, as the actor was at the place where he and his coworkers were working.
The encounter ended up becoming one of those stories you need to photograph for people to believe you. Richard said that the actor was kind to them and managed to take a photo alongside him, which he later proudly shared on social media. He even joked that he was receiving “private lessons in how to climb walls”.
But the coincidence gets even better: Richard is also a photographer, the same profession Peter Parker has in the Spider-Man movies. He left Paraguay determined to start over and ended up working as the gardener of the actor who played one of fiction’s most famous photographers.
