Robyn turned everyday questions into tutorials for children and people who grew up without a mother who could teach them those things. On her YouTube channel, “Mom, How Do I?”, she teaches skills that many people learn at home, but that others have to figure out on their own: doing laundry, cooking, sewing, braiding hair, or making a medical appointment. She also addresses mental health care.

The idea was inspired by “Dad, How Do I?”, Rob Kenney’s channel. Robyn created a counterpart focused on tasks often associated with a mother, although her videos are intended for people of any gender and anyone who needs practical guidance.
Rather than taking the basics for granted, her tutorials offer explanations to help people learn these small tasks. And sometimes, a search can begin with the question that gives the channel its name: “Mom, how do I do it?”
