The Brazilian, world champion in 2002, held nothing back on his Rede Ronaldo channel: “It was a real thrashing, absolute dominance throughout the entire match”.
And he went even further — he said that not even Lionel Messi’s presence was enough to stop the Spaniards, and that Argentina “never played good football, only with grit”.
The spiciest part came when he compared that level with the historic Joga Bonito of his own national team, which he described as outdated compared with Luis de la Fuente’s football. A criticism that left no one out.
