It’s hard to believe this story is real, but it happened. In 2001, Rowan Atkinson, the actor behind Mr. Bean, was traveling with his wife and children over Kenya when the light aircraft’s pilot lost consciousness mid-flight.
With no experience as a pilot, Atkinson took the controls to keep the plane stable while he and his wife tried to revive the man. After several tense minutes, the pilot regained consciousness and managed to land the aircraft safely. A scene that could easily have come from a movie… but this time there was nothing funny about it.
