Bruce Willis’s diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia and aphasia four years ago changed his family’s life, but his daughter Rumer revealed on the podcast “The Inside Edit” that there are still moments of joy and connection, especially when her father interacts with his granddaughter Louetta, a relationship she described as a true gift.

Rumer explained that maintaining the bond is not easy because of Bruce’s communication difficulties, but that the family is making an effort to keep finding ways to be together and support one another in a situation she described as “unprecedented”, and she emphasized that she is grateful that her daughter was able to know her grandfather.

“I love being able to go see him. Grateful to have a daughter who was able to know him, because I don’t know if my sisters will have the opportunity”, said the actress, moved, highlighting the importance of valuing every shared moment and celebrating the special connection Bruce is able to have with his little granddaughter.
