You don’t turn 60 every day, especially not like this. 🤭
On Wednesday, Salma Hayek blew out the candles on her 60th birthday, and her fans couldn’t believe that time had barely touched her. The same woman who drove Hollywood wild in the nineties with Dogma and From Dusk Till Dawn still poses in swimsuits for Sports Illustrated as if age were just a detail.
She explained it herself: no Botox, no fillers, and no aggressive exfoliation. Her weapon is simpler: radiofrequency to tighten the skin, tepezcohuite (a Mexican bark traditionally used for burns) to regenerate it, massages with a therapist who flies in from Japan, and dancing on the treadmill instead of jogging. She doesn’t follow a strict diet either: she has a mix of fruit, yogurt, and seeds for breakfast, and every so often she does a juice cleanse.

And the detail that surprises people most: when she’s in Mexico, Salma eats crickets, ant eggs, and fried worms. “They’re incredible”, she says without hesitation. At 60, her formula seems simple: taking care of herself without obsessing, and eating whatever makes her feel good, even if it sounds strange.
