Cosmetics cofounder Scott Vincent Borba traded his luxury nights with Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian to become a Catholic priest, and now, at 52, he is about to be ordained. In 2019 he began his transition and donated all his possessions to enter the Seminary, and next May 23 he will be ordained as a priest in his hometown of Visalia, California. The former millionaire ignored his calling for decades while building his own empire, with a fortune valued at $3 billion.
“I was at a party and I felt very, very unhappy”, he admitted to OSV News. “I simply felt empty, and I really was. I was exhausted. I said, ‘God, if this is life—working, partying, repeating it all over again and then dying—then this is not the life I believe you have created for me. But I can only change if you help me.’ I said, ‘Help me… I don’t want to keep doing this anymore’”.
