Gift Oladele, a 24-year-old Nigerian citizen, was sentenced to 25 years in prison after abusing a 19-year-old young woman in Wales.
The attacker, who already had a criminal record, had previously managed to avoid deportation thanks to a ruling by the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, which argued the protection of his “human rights” and his private life in the United Kingdom.
Oladele, who was living illegally in the country, attacked the victim while she was returning from a night out. The police found evidence on his phone of an obsession with forced abuse.
