Patrice Brown, an Atlanta teacher known as “Tricey” or “Paris Monroe” on Instagram, never imagined that her photos would make her the center of a national debate.
An Atlanta radio station even asked its listeners whether they would let their children take classes with her. To some, her tight clothing is inappropriate for a classroom; to others, the only offense is judging her body instead of her work, especially since she does not show cleavage or wear short skirts in the classroom.
Brown eventually closed her account to the public amid the pressure. Did they have the right to demand that she change the way she dresses, or was this simply harassment disguised as concern for the school?
