Barranquilla gave the world a voice that today represents Colombia in every corner. Now, a viral design imagined what Shakira would look like printed on a Colombian banknote.
The image began circulating on social media with the singer’s face on a supposed 200.000-peso banknote, accompanied by elements inspired by her story and career. It is not a proposal from Banco de la República and, in fact, Colombia does not even currently have that denomination in circulation.
Even so, the creation sparked comments from users who celebrated the idea of paying tribute in this way to one of the world’s most recognized Colombian artists. Because beyond the fact that the banknote is merely an internet fantasy, the question remains open: would you like to see Shakira on a real one someday? 🇨🇴💛
