Sharon Stone recalled the exact moment she knew her marriage was over. In the early 2000s, doctors detected several tumors in her breasts. One of them was so large that it exceeded the size of her entire left breast. Given the risk, they recommended a bilateral mastectomy.
She said “yes” to the surgery. But her husband Phil Bronstein’s reaction left her stunned. According to the actress, he described the surgery as something “ridiculous” and stormed out of the room. He was not upset about the possible cancer, but about the idea of having her breasts removed.
