A woman was arrested in Oklahoma after being accused of abandoning her baby inside a car while spending several hours gambling at a casino. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in the city of Catoosa, where the child remained locked inside the vehicle without adequate ventilation and exposed to high temperatures.

Everything came to light when casino security staff and some witnesses noticed the child was alone inside the car. The situation caused immediate concern, and a woman decided to call 911 to alert the authorities. Minutes later, police arrived at the scene and found the little boy still inside the vehicle, while the engine was still running.

When the mother, identified as Dacie Yeager, returned to the car, she claimed that she had only been gone for about 20 minutes and said that she had entered the casino to look for the child’s father. However, that version began to fall apart after officers reviewed the venue’s security cameras. According to the investigation, the woman entered the casino at around 9:30 in the morning and did not return until after 2:30 in the afternoon.

After the truth was discovered, the woman was arrested and charged with child neglect. She was later taken to the Rogers County jail, and was released on bail afterward. The baby was placed in the custody of child protective services, while the accused will have to face justice at a preliminary hearing scheduled for July.
