A dramatic case of domestic violence in India led to a long process of medical and personal recovery for a newborn who suffered severe lifelong burns after an acid attack carried out by her father; in the same attack, her mother lost her life.
The protagonist is Anmol Rodriguez, a 26-year-old model who spent 5 years hospitalized in a medical center to heal her physical injuries and the loss of one eye. After being rejected by her immediate family, she was raised in an orphanage before entering the University of Bombay.
Despite suffering academic discrimination and being fired from jobs because of her physical appearance, the victim established her career as a model and digital content creator.
