She had a phobia of olives, and they brought a jar with hundreds of them close to her

Phobias are no joke. Some are strange, but that does not make them any less deserving of respect. Perhaps it makes sense to say: when it comes to tastes and phobias, there are no rules. The case in question, presented by The Maury Show, deals with one of those fears that seem to make no sense at all. It is about a woman terrified of olives. Green or black? Sally fears both.

The audience only laughed at the woman’s terror, as she tightly clutched the host’s arm. There were no olives in sight. Just talking about the subject was enough to send her into a state of panic. What she did not know was that Maury had a trap prepared for her.

During the show, it became clear that Sally feared olives because they reminded her of the eyes of deceased people. This phobia is said to have begun at seven years of age.

But… what triggered such fear at age seven? She tells Maury that her grandfather had green eyes and that, when the man died and they put him in the coffin, something shook her child mind in a way she has not been able to overcome to this day.

The cruel part came when the host decided to betray his guest. At one point in the conversation, Maury shouted: “Bring in the olives!”

Then Sally went into real panic and did nothing but run. She had to get away as quickly as possible from that large jar full of olives.
