Marbeli wanted to march in the parade. After watching other girls perform their routines, she asked her dad to help her do it. He and his wife consulted with the physical therapist about how to prepare her. On September 15, 2026, she made her way through the streets alongside the majorettes of Colegio Reforma, supported by her father.

Preparing for the parade required coordinating school, therapy sessions, church activities, and rehearsals with her instructor, Adriana Bautista. Two days later, in Ciudad Arce, Marbeli marched again with her classmates. “I feel like I’m moving forward one more step”, she said. Her father also noted that accessibility barriers persist for people with disabilities.

Marbeli dreams of becoming an actress and painter. The report, published on September 28, also requested a medical treadmill for neurological rehabilitation to support her mobility.
