Rebecca Rumsey is 50 and has two children, ages 3 and 4. She did the math: when they finish high school, she’ll be 62 and 64.
“I don’t think much about these numbers, but some people have kindly pointed them out to me”, she said with a laugh. Far from feeling anxious, the content creator turned it into a reason to take care of herself: she wants to be a healthy, energetic mom for many more decades.
For her, aging starts today. “The choices we make today shape the woman we’ll be decades from now”, she wrote, convinced that the way we live now determines what we’ll be like at 60, 70, 80 and 90.
