Sofía lost everything. Her house collapsed in the earthquake that shook La Guaira, Venezuela, on June 24, and one of her relatives died under the rubble. When Noticias Caracol interviewed her, many expected an account of pain and basic needs.

Instead, she asked for three iPhones and a MacBook.
The clip went viral within hours and split social media in two. Some say everyone asks for what they need to rebuild their life, with no right to judge someone else’s grief. Others argue that, with thousands sleeping on the street without water or food, asking for luxury technology shows a total lack of sense of reality.
What do you think: did she go too far, or did she have the right to ask for whatever she wanted? 🤔
