Kathleen Thomas, 36, was driving on North Dixie Highway in Palm Beach County when a patrol officer pulled her over. The officer approached the window and confidently explained that he had seen her handling her cellphone with her right hand. Kathleen said nothing. She just raised her right arm. No hand. “Obviously not”, she replied with a laugh. “Do you want to leave it here?” 😂 The officer, far from backing down, insisted that he had seen her. He even asked her to put “her hand on her heart”. She raised her arm again. The fine came anyway: $116 dollars for use of a wireless device. Kathleen appealed it, uploaded the bodycam video to TikTok, and the clip racked up millions of views. Before the hearing took place, the officer himself requested that the citation be withdrawn… for “lack of evidence”. 💀 The hearing scheduled for May 27 was canceled. The case, closed. Kathleen celebrated it on her social media with a simple: “Bro, we already knew.” 🙌
@latinus_us Kathleen Thomas, from Florida, received a citation in February for allegedly using her cellphone with her right hand while driving, but she does not have that limb. This week, the officer himself requested that the fine be dismissed. #Latinus #InfoForYou ♬ original sound – Latinus
