“The police would not even file the complaint”, Rekha’s family reported. How can something like this go unpunished? 😔
Rekha Kumari was 20 years old and only wanted to treat an earache. She traveled from Sheohar to the Mahavir Arogya Sansthan hospital in Patna, India, for a minor surgery.
On July 11, a nurse administered the injection into an artery instead of a vein. Her hand began to turn green. She reported the pain again and again, but the medical staff did not pay attention in time.
When she was finally transferred to another hospital, it was too late: they had to amputate her arm above the elbow just to save her life.
Her wedding was set for November. The groom’s family canceled everything as soon as they found out what had happened.

Rekha and her family reported medical negligence and requested compensation, but according to their testimony, the police refused even to file the complaint.
To this day, no one has been held accountable for what was taken from her.
