Sheila Ebana was 21 years old when she became a single mother in Catalonia. 🥹
She worked as a waitress at a McDonald’s in Mataró, and later moved to Granollers just so she wouldn’t miss a single one of her son’s training sessions at CF La Torreta.
That son is Lamine Yamal, now a star for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team. She never stopped being close: she took him, waited for him, and accompanied him while he kicked a ball, unaware that it was where everything began.
Today Sheila also shines in her own way: she has millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram, and in March 2025 Lamine publicly thanked her in an interview for giving him a happy childhood despite the difficulties.
