Tammy Slaton weighed more than 320 kilos when the world first met her on television. 🎥
Today, at 39 years old, she weighs around 91 kilos. Along the way, she underwent bariatric surgery and then an operation to remove the excess skin left hanging from her face, double chin, and arms. She also left behind the oxygen tank that accompanied her everywhere.
When she shared a video singing alongside her fiancée, Andrea Dalton, showing off her new smile, some users noticed a bruise on her face and began speculating about her health.
She herself had to explain: she had several teeth extracted to get a temporary bridge while she waits for her permanent dentures.
“People won’t stop making up stupid rumors, they have too much free time”, she replied. But not all the comments were harmless: some wrote that she “should have given up” when they saw her skin after surgery. Tammy, true to her motto of being strong and honest, chose not to give power to hate. 💬
