Some weddings begin with a bouquet, and others begin with a sign.
The image of the curious notice was shared on Facebook by Stellar Mengele and quickly drew attention for the particular rule the couple decided to impose on their guests.
At the entrance to the celebration, the couple put up a sign decorated with pastel-colored flowers and elegant lettering, but with a very clear message: guests were not allowed to post photos or videos of the couple, or share pictures of them in their WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram stories.

That said, guests could take as many photos and videos as they wanted. They could take pictures of themselves, photograph other guests, and share those moments on social media. The only restriction was that the couple could not appear in those posts. The reason was simple: they wanted to be the ones to share the photos of their big day first.
The sign quickly went viral and divided opinions. Some think it is a perfectly reasonable request: after all, it is their wedding, and they should be able to decide when and how to share their own photos. Others, however, see it as an elegant way to set rules for the guests.
Is this a reasonable request to protect the couple’s privacy, or an overly strict way to control what gets posted at a wedding?
