Those little paws barely peeking out. 🐯 The Siberian tigers in China’s nature parks gained so much weight in winter that their photos went viral all over the world — and it’s not hard to understand why. They are huge, round, and sit with the exact pose of someone who has just finished Sunday lunch. But behind that image that makes you want to hug them, there is something experts point to with concern: in captivity, these animals eat calorie-rich diets without real space to move. The result is a weight far above what is natural, even considering that in winter they build up fat to withstand the cold. What’s adorable comes at a cost. And that cost, over time, can become very serious for their health. 🌿
