Police dismantled a clandestine dog breeding operation in Santiago, Chile, where they found around 50 animals living in severe abusive conditions. Among those rescued were adult dogs and puppies suffering from malnutrition, eye diseases, and signs of neglect 💔.
One of the most shocking scenes was the condition in which they found a female dog that was separated from the rest of the animals, with her coat full of mats, dirt, and her eyes were barely visible.
The operation was carried out following reports from neighbors and had support from animal foundations. According to the authorities, the dogs were kept overcrowded in makeshift cages, without veterinary care or minimum hygiene conditions. One person has been detained for animal abuse.
