Alex Parra added a scratching post to his prosthesis. The content creator and cancer survivor, who had a leg amputated, built the device out of wood so his cat Rowan could use it too.
According to Know Your Meme, he bought the wood at Home Depot. In the video, Rowan tries out the scratching post while Parra walks around his apartment with the prosthesis.
The piece brings together two very different functions: supporting his steps and giving the cat a place to scratch. The publication reported that the video surpassed one million views and garnered hundreds of thousands of “likes” in three months.
