Sylvester Stallone received the news while playing golf: a call told him that Jackie, his mother, had died. She passed away in September 2020, at the age of 98; he did not attend the funeral.

In an interview published by Page Six, Stallone spoke about that relationship and said: “There are people who simply shouldn’t have children”. He described Jackie as “very, very immature” and focused on being a star. According to him, she tried palmistry, astrology, fortune-telling, the trapeze, and piano, but never took care of her children or grandchildren.
Stallone said that lack of love also drove him: “Those who have all the problems are usually the most creative”.
