The scene was seen all over the world: right in the stands, with the score 1-1 between Uruguay and Saudi Arabia, a father lifted his baby above the frenzied crowd as he shouted the goal.
The cameras captured everything, and social media didn’t take even a second to explode. For many people, especially women, the image was outrageous. “That baby can’t defend himself, he didn’t choose to be there”, people wrote in the comments. “If something happens to him, who’s responsible?”.
But others came out to defend him: “It’s his son and he decides how to raise him”, “I also went to the stadium as a baby and here I am”.
