Océane Dodin, 29, spent almost a year away from the tour due to vertigo that prevented her from competing. During that time, the French tennis player made a decision she had been keeping in mind for some time: undergoing breast surgery.

She told RMC Sports herself, without filters. She explained that she planned everything with her surgeon: where to place the implants so they would not bother her when hitting, and what type of bra to wear for support during long points. “I talked a lot with him about where to put the implants so they wouldn’t bother me”, she explained. When asked whether the size would affect her game, she did not hesitate to respond ironically: “As if I had gotten watermelons. They’re not small, but they don’t bother me when I play. There are specially adapted bras”.

Dodin also compared her case with that of Simona Halep, who reduced her bust for the opposite reason: the weight limited her on court. “There has to be a first time for everything”, she said with a laugh.
