The president of Remo, a Brazilian club, came out with studs up after Neymar Júnior had a tense back-and-forth with fans while leaving the pitch. Far from toning down the conflict, the executive decided to raise the stakes with a phrase that is already on everyone’s lips.
“That bum Neymar, who is idolized by a bunch of children, pulled his antics and on top of that came to provoke”, he fired off without holding back. And he did not stop there: he also took aim at those who admire him. “We are guilty of idolizing a bunch of bums like that guy!”, Tonhão concluded, leaving an uncomfortable question hanging over Brazilian football itself. 🇧🇷⚽
