Ino Cat (Yoon Su-jin), a South Korean influencer, was recording a video greeting fans at Estadio Guadalajara on June 11, during the South Korea 2-1 Czechia match. On camera, a man pulled his eyes back with his fingers. The video exploded on social media, and the internet identified the accused man.

Thousands of Mexicans came out to condemn the act. But FIFA, Estadio Guadalajara, and the Mexican National Team issued no statement. Zero. Total silence while the video racked up millions of views. 🌐

Does a gesture like that deserve an official sanction, or is condemnation on social media enough? And more importantly: what message does institutional silence send just before the Mexico vs. South Korea match, on June 18, at the same stadium? 👇
