Judith Arias uploaded a video of her son crying and explained why she did not rush to pick him up. “He is not hungry, nothing hurts, he simply wants me to hold him”, she explained on social media under the username @judiitharias_.
For her, those minutes of waiting are an act of self-love: she needs time to do her hair, get ready, or simply breathe without ceasing to be a good mother. Many accused her of neglecting her son by prioritizing herself.
But other mothers came out in her defense, saying that only those who have experienced a baby’s constant crying understand that need for a break. Necessary self-care or lack of attention? Which side are you on?
