The 90s were on another level: Penélope Cruz, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Monica Bellucci, and Rachel Weisz were the definition of beauty that was hard to surpass. They dominated the big screen

Just one of these photos would have stopped the scroll. The problem is that the 90s had all four of them at the same time. 🔥

Penélope Cruz began the decade with Jamón, jamón and Belle Époque, before making the leap to international fame. Catherine Zeta-Jones appeared in Hollywood with The Mask of Zorro and quickly became one of the most recognizable faces of the late 90s.

Monica Bellucci had already left the runways behind to establish herself as an actress in Europe, starring in films such as The Apartment, while Rachel Weisz went from British cinema to winning over audiences around the world with The Mummy in 1999.

The best part is that they didn’t fit the same mold either: Penélope had a more Mediterranean, youthful beauty; Catherine had that classic star glamour; Monica had a sensuality that became her trademark; and Rachel had a much more understated elegance.

Perhaps that’s why, more than 25 years later, their photos keep appearing on social media again and again. The 90s didn’t have to choose just one beauty to represent the decade: they had Penélope, Catherine, Monica, and Rachel all at their best at the same time.
