Everything was ready for the perfect send-off.
Argentina had beaten Benín 3-0 at the Monumental, and Lionel Messi was saying goodbye to the national team after 21 years. After the match, the AFA launched the big drone show: Messi lifting the World Cup, the crest with three stars, a jersey with the 10 and the phrase “Thanks, Leo”.

But one of the images featured the mistake nobody expected: Messi drawn kicking the ball with his right leg. He, who had conquered half the planet with his left foot. Social media was quick to react, and among the most repeated messages were: “Chiqui Tapia did it again”…
For now, the AFA has not issued a statement about the image. And on a night when Messi was closing out a story of four titles with the national team, part of the conversation ended up being about a badly drawn leg. A minor detail or a farewell that deserved more care?
