Jaxon Buell came into the world with an extreme malformation called microhydranencephaly: he was missing almost all of his brain and most of his skull.

The initial medical recommendation was abortion, assuring that if he were born, he would die suffering within minutes. But Jaxon clung to life in an agonizing and fierce battle that lasted an incredible 5 years.

Enduring daily seizures, fed through tubes, and with a physical appearance that shocked anyone, this little boy proved that the soul goes far beyond human anatomy.

Many called the parents selfish for deciding that the little boy should live an agonizing life, but others supported them, seeing the miracle that each new day Jaxon kept breathing and, at one point, made millions on the internet cry when he managed to babble the words “I love you” and “Mom”

In April 2020 his body finally collapsed, unleashing a massive and endless debate. 😭
