Eliana Bigoni had 15 minutes to pick up her children. She never left that apartment in Plano, Texas.

She had arrived on Wednesday, August 12, to pick up the children, aged 2 and 5, and take them to school. She stopped answering calls at 7:23 am. When police arrived at The Parker complex, her husband Jake Bigoni said he didn’t know where she was. Officers noticed a wet stain on his shirt. He explained that he had been cleaning the house.

As they reviewed the notes from the emergency call, a chilling detail emerged: the couple’s son had said that his mother was dead. Jake’s mother confirmed that he had told her over the phone: “We had a fight and she’s dead”.

Minutes later, inside the trunk of a white Hyundai Genesis parked in the garage, officers found Eliana’s body, a native of Bogotá, with severe injuries to her face and head and her clothing covered in blood. Jake was arrested for abuse of a corpse and, one day later, for murder. He remains in custody without bail.
