Does it make sense to you? Recently, terms like “Bud Sex” or “G0ys” have emerged to describe men who, despite having sexual encounters with other men, insist that they are completely heterosexual.

Sociologist Tony Silva has researched this phenomenon where, in order to maintain the “macho” label, strict rules are applied: no kissing, hugging, or looking each other in the eyes. According to experts, what they are seeking is simply a “sexual release” without compromising their traditional masculinity or involving feelings.

This trend, also analyzed by professor Jane Ward, reveals that many of these men are married and have children, but see these meetups with friends as just entertainment. “They strongly reject gay behaviors”, specialists say, who see this as a way of exploring sexuality without abandoning the usual stereotypes.

After years of debates about identity, it seems that for some the key to an affair is simply pretending that nothing romantic is happening, turning an intimate encounter into something as casual as going out to play soccer. Do you support this trend?
