Did you know your mind can trick you in a second? A curious visual experiment that completely challenges your eyes. On the screen, a green flamingo and a pink parrot appear with their colors totally switched. However, there is a scientific trick capable of fixing this error immediately.

The secret is to fix your gaze on the small cross located right on the flamingo’s neck. By staring at it without blinking for about fifteen seconds, the magic happens. When the screen changes to a black-and-white photo, your brain fills in the empty spaces and suddenly “the flamingo is pink and the parrot is green”.

This phenomenon happens because the cells in your eyes get tired of seeing the same color. When it switches to black and white, the brain kicks in and “the colors you see exist only in your mind”. It’s a fun way to prove that we do not always see the world as it is, but as our brain decides to interpret it.
