The twist is that many clients are not even looking for sex: they want to spend hours talking about AI, biohacking, cryptocurrencies, and the future of the world with someone who understands what they are talking about. The same AI boom that is destroying jobs in other industries generated a wave of new wealth in Silicon Valley—OpenAI allowed more than 600 employees to sell shares for up to $30 million—and with it, an unprecedented demand for intelligent human contact.
