The justice system in the province of Chubut, Argentina, is analyzing the causes of the death of Ángel Nicolás López, who died shortly after being handed over to his biological mother, Yanina Belén López.
The 4-year-old had spent almost his entire life in Buenos Aires and, according to eyewitness accounts, cried because he did not want to go with his mother before the transfer to Comodoro Rivadavia. After his arrival at the Regional Hospital, doctors confirmed that the patient had internal cranial injuries that were hidden beneath the surface of the skin.
His father says that the boy was in perfect physical health and demands clear answers about how a healthy child ends up losing his life under imposed custody.
