Ahmed Al Ahmed, the shopkeeper who was acclaimed around the world for confronting a terrorist during the Bondi Beach attack, made headlines again for a very different reason. The 44-year-old man was accused by Australian police of allegedly assaulting his own father during a family argument.

According to authorities, Ahmed allegedly held his father in a chokehold. He now faces charges of domestic assault and harassment, as well as a court order prohibiting him from approaching or contacting the elderly man.

The man who months ago was considered a hero after disarming an armed attacker, surviving five gunshots, and even receiving more than 1.3 million dollars in donations is now seen in a different light.
