“The husband represents the family”: At a conservative summit, a 21-year-old woman called for women to give up their vote, and many said yes

Give up the right to vote and let their husbands do it for them… 😳

Savanna Faith Stone is 21 years old and has an idea that sets things back a century. 🇺🇸 At the Women’s Leadership Summit 2026, organized by Turning Point USA in San Antonio, Texas, before nearly 3,000 people, she defended the so-called “household vote”: one vote per family, always cast by the husband.

“The husband represents the family”, she said, while several women in the room nodded, willing to give their vote to their husbands.

Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow, led the event and gave Stone the stage. The proposal has no legal backing and is not an official initiative, but it is spreading widely on conservative social media.

Gender experts warn of something simple: the United States achieved women’s suffrage in 1920, and this threatens to erase it in one fell swoop.

A setback disguised as tradition? 👀
